Ocean Grove Bowling Club Incorporated, established in 1954, initially acquired five blocks of land for 517 pounds, which led to the opening of the club's first greens. From these modest beginnings, the club has flourished into a modern and family-friendly bowling and hospitality complex. Our extensive facilities now encompass two lawn bowling greens, one synthetic green, a Sports Lounge with TAB, a Bistro, Function Rooms, and a Gaming Room.
Over the years, our membership has experienced remarkable growth. Starting with 136 members in September 1955, we have seen a significant increase to over 5000 members as of June 2020. Our club has undergone rapid and impressive development since its inception in 1954. In 2010, we embarked on a major redevelopment project that refreshed our club's appearance, giving it a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. Along the corridors of our club, you will find a captivating photo mural showcasing the club's evolution from its inaugural days in the 1950s.
Officially established in 1958, the Ocean Grove Bowling Club Inc. has celebrated remarkable achievements on the greens in recent years. Both our Saturday Pennant teams and Midweek teams have reached the pinnacle of pennant competition, securing their respective Victorian State Pennant Crowns. These successes have solidified our club's standing as a force to be reckoned with in the bowling community.
